Social & Emotional Development is the foundation for how one feels about themself and their ability to relate to others. As educators we can make sure that we are giving each child in our care a positive and nurturing experience that will impact them for life. When our children leave us to go to Elementary school they will be need to be able to follow classroom instructions and rules and work independently, When a child does not feel good about self and cannot communicate their feelings, it has a direct affect upon their ability to form friendships, develop self-confidence, and display empathy towards others.
